The Port of Québec’s Baie de Beauport is a public space that is open and accessible. These rules must be followed to keep the experience pleasant, safe, and respectful for everyone.

Bringing your own alcohol onto the site is prohibited.

Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.

Smoking or vaping tobacco, cannabis, or any other substance is prohibited throughout the site.

Payments on site are by card only. Cash is not accepted.
Following these rules helps protect the site, keep visitors safe, and preserve the natural beauty of the Baie de Beauport.

NAVIGATION AND SAFETY FOR PLEASURE CRAFTS REGULATIONS BAIE DE BEAUPORT

GENERAL
- These Regulations apply to the body of water delineated in Schedule 1 and hereinafter referred to as “Baie de Beauport”.
- The purpose of these regulations is to regulate navigation on the Baie de Beauport water body inorder to ensure safety and good order in the recreational use of the site.
- If there is a difference between the content of these regulations and the applicable laws, the latter take precedence.
- The Québec Port Authority (hereinafter referred to as the “Authority”) is acting as an agent of Her Majesty in right of Canada for the purposes of these regulations.

APPLICATION
The Authority’s security officers, enforcement officers and peace officers have full authority to enforce these regulations. The Baie de Beauport site manager posts and informs boaters and the public of these regulations and notifies the Authority in the event of non-compliance.

CANADA MARINE ACT
The Authority allows and encourages the use of the Baie de Beauport for recreational purposes such as aquatic and nautical activities.
The Authority is bound by the Canada Marine Act1 which provides, among other things, that the Authority is required to “take appropriate measures for the maintenance of order and the safety of persons and property in the port.” (s. 61(1) ).
In addition, the Act (s. 62(1)) provides that the Authority may “make regulations respecting

In order to allow the authorized activities on the site and on the water body designated in Schedule 1, the Authority adopts these Regulations.
Any contravention of any of the provisions of these regulations will be in infraction of section 5(d) of the Port Authorities Operations Regulations2 and may result in the issuance of a duly established contravention under the provisions of the Contraventions Ac3.
Any offender is therefore liable to receive a contravention in the amount set out in Schedule 1 of the Contraventions Regulations4.

REGULATION

Will be considered likely to adversely affect an activity authorized in the port under section 5(d) of the Port Authorities Operations Regulations, , on the water body illustrated in Schedule 1, including

anchoring, anchoring or immobilizing a boat in any way except in cases of emergency;

moving in an axis or at a speed that tends to harm other boaters;

create waves that harm other boaters.

If necessary, mooring is available from the Baie de Beauport authorities at the pontoon shown in A on the map in Schedule 1.
